A Cartoon New Year’s Eve!

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

It’s New Year’s Eve at MakeACartoonYou.com! Like everyone, we’re celebrating the new year. Before the new year happened, we tried to figure out the best way to make the celebration a cartoon one.

Tonight, we plan on having a few cartoon themed festivities- we’ll make cartoon cake (with wonderful designs!), we’ll make outifts (in the real world!), and we’ll even do our hair (with dye, not pixels!).

But, of course, the capper to any New Year’s Eve celebration is pretty predictable for us: We make new cartoons! We hope that when the ball drops, you’ll be doing the same. What better way to celebrate the New Year than with a cartoon? 2009 is going to be animated!

Gustav Loves to Get in Line

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

Today’s Cartoon of the Day is Gustav. Born in Hungary and raised in east Texas, Gustav is a product of hybrid cultures. His fashion is Eastern European chic- with a gray vest, tight pants, and thick boots, he’s ready to hit the clubs hard. But he has an accent with a twang you can write home about. Want to go line dancing with big G? Then make a cartoon me today- he’ll be waiting for you to join him!

What’s The Funniest Cartoon?

Monday, December 29th, 2008

Cartoons are always fun. But how can you make your cartoon the funniest?

Here are some tips for making your cartoon not only fashionable, but hilarious as well.

  1. Mismatch Clothes- Nothing’s funnier than a pair of striped socks with plaid shoes. OK, some stuff is funnier. But it’s a good start.
  2. Weird Hair- Locks of love can’t match up with loony locks. Make your cartoon’s hair funny and fun- you’ll love the results!
  3. You!- If you’re a funny person, your cartoon will be too. Just invest your heart and soul into your cartoon, and we know it will be as funny as you are.

Make your own funny cartoon today and share the joy!

Bethel Has Her Cello In Storage

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

Today’s Cartoon of the Day is Bethel. A professional cellist at the Boston Philharmonic, Bethel is taking a little time off to enjoy the nightlife in her city. Sometimes restaurants and clubs can be exclusive, but she has experience “pulling strings.” In a draped green dress she moves with glamour, but her nearly-hidden pink heels are her outfit’s perfect grace note. Want to dress like Bethel? Create a cartoon you today!

Do Cartoons Go On Diets?

Saturday, December 27th, 2008

Here on the MakeACartoonYou.com campus, we have a snack room filled with tons of goodies. All around the office, you can smell popcorn, coffee, and other work-fueling goodies. But sometimes, while we’re noshing away at our desks, we can’t help but wonder: Do cartoons go on diets?

The answer is obvious- cartoons don’t have to eat food, so they don’t go on diets. But really, it’s a little more complex than that. For people, food gives us nourishment and helps us get through the day. Cartoons may not eat burritos, candy, or other tasty treats, but they do need nourishment to do their jobs well.

The nourishment is you. Your attention helps your cartoon do its best, look its coolest, and reflect the unique person you are. Sure, just like you can overload on candy, your cartoon can overload on new outfits, makeup, and accessories. But it still needs a little bit of you each day to do its best. Please, feed your cartoon well- give it your time.

Want to nourish your cartoon? Cartoonize yourself today and enjoy some animated flavor.
