Can I Make A Cartoon Mistake?

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

We can’t tell you how many times we’ve received a panicked e-mail like the one we got today.

MakeACartoonYou, help me! I was making a cartoon and I made a mistake. I gave my cartoon green hair instead of red hair. What am I supposed to do about it!??

Fortunately, making a mistake on a cartoon isn’t like making a mistake in real life. You can reverse it! It gives you a chance to change things around instantly if you need to. In real life, messed up hair means dealing with a problem for a while. In the cartoon world, correction is only a click away.

The only cartoon mistake you can make is not representing yourself and your friends. So have fun- you can always change your mind. Just don’t change yourself when you cartoonize today!.

Shadelle Wants to Be An Accountant

Monday, January 19th, 2009

Today’s Cartoon of the Day is Shadelle. She’s had a misspent youth acquiring angel wings, hats, neon green shoes, and an animal of a species that has yet to be determined. Her next misadventure? She wants to become a CPA. Of course, first she has to learn how to add and subtract. We’re not sure how well she’ll do at that, but at least she’ll look “interesting” while she’s doing it. Want to make your own technicolor accountant? Then make a cartoon me today!

James Is A Lost Boy

Saturday, January 17th, 2009

Today’s Cartoon of the Day is James. James has lived all his life in Never Never Land (well, that’s at least what he says). With tattered green clothes, he certainly looks the part. Striped sneakers add a little personal flair to his lost boy appeal, while a reindeer styled hat convinces all doubters that James is either a magical creature or totally insane. He doesn’t mind the speculation, as long as he keeps looking good. Want to create your own lost boy or girl and find yourself in the process? Then create a cartoon today- fortunately, you have nothing to lose.

What Does “Cartoonize” Mean?

Friday, January 16th, 2009

At MakeACartoonYou.com, we hear a lot of different terms for making cartoons. But one of our favorites is “cartoonize.” But using it makes our readers ask a question- what does “cartoonize” mean?

Cartoonize means a lot of different things. On the surface, it’s simply the process of making a cartoon. That means picking the hair, wardrobe, looks, and everything else to make a cartoon like you.

But really, it means a lot more than that. It means transforming not just your looks, but your personality, into the cartoon world. When you cartoonize yourself, you make everything about you into a cartoon, including your unique view of the world.

So give it a try today and cartoonize yourself! It’s more than making a cartoon- it’s making a cartoon that’s truly like you.

Ellie Has An Elvish Personality

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

Today’s Cartoon of the Day is Ellie. Born and raised in Iceland, Ellie grew up around snow. When she moved to Tampa, Florida to become a marine biologist, she wanted a way to dress like she used to, even in the heat. Her solution? Get her elf on! In a frayed green top and red tights, she has a wintry spirit all year long, even when she’s lounging at the beach. And in case you think she might be too informal, Ellie’s sparkling red shoes prove she’s been making some wonderful things in her workshop. Do you have elven spirit? If so, then cartoonize today- even if your body isn’t warmed up, your heart will be!
